In the Public Interest celebrates activism, public protest and free speech in the practice of Australian artists, comprising artworks from the City of Moreland Art Collection, exhibition partners and invited artists and coincides with the centenary of the Gallery’s namesake Noel Counihan, an artist and political activist committed to free speech and social justice.The Counihan Gallery is located at 233 Sydney Road, Brunswick, inside the Brunswick Town Hall.
The building is near the corner of the Sydney Road and Dawson Street intersection. Enter through glass sliding doors on Sydney Road. The Gallery is to the left of the Brunswick Citizen Service Centre. The gallery is wheelchair accessible.
Gallery hours
Wednesday to Saturday 11 am – 5 pm and Sunday 1 pm – 5 pm.
