Series

For over a decade, unique women, queer and trans* people played ‘un-dress-up’ as Textanudes. In a collaborative exchange, artist and subject chose props, poses and surroundings to reflect the model’s persona or performance character. Wherever the portraits were created, conversation and marker flowed across the paper between the parties, a quote from the interchange inked in to bring into focus their intimate dynamics, to be followed later by colourful detail. Portrait statements are mostly written with/by the featured subject.
