“A visible body is shown but only a recognized body is seen. A visible body is a celebrity, an icon. A visible body, esp like you and me (non-normative) is a currency in the economy of rights; like wrongs, not justice. A recognized body, though, belongs to justice.” – YSK Prerana, Bollywouldn’t
ID: Photo looking up at the Tate Modern tower, a modernist mid-brown brick building. On its tower is a Bollywood poster style mural of a light blue and pink toned person (zombie-like) wearing a yellow and black patterned mask over their eyes, blue jeans and a black hoodie that reads ‘NOT YOUR QTPOC CELEBRITY’ in gold. Their arms extend to either side, wrapped in tattoos and snakes. A green betel leaf vine grows around them – its pale roots extend to bottom of mural. The background is a mid-century snakes and ladders game in red, aqua, light green, yellow with various squares labelled and illustrated with qualities such as ‘KINDNESS’ ‘CRUELTY’ ‘PRIDE’ ‘OBEDIENCE’. The board is against a pink background and below it a black shadow behind a red/yellow block letter title ‘DAULAT TE SAPA BAITH JAANDA.
