The Story of Eve

2018 -


Developed as a performance with live musical score by Divide and Dissolve, featuring a team of artists from diverse cultural backgrounds including Alison Whittaker, Laila Thaker, Maxine Beneba Clarke, TextaQueen, Lou Smith, and Carol Que presenting their written and performative responses to TextaQueen’ s cross-genre photographic series, Eve of Incarnation. Narratives extruded are a science-fictional emigrant allegory, an anthropologist lecture, an ethno-botanical fashion commentary and an art academic performance lecture. 

The project completed a first stage development in 2018 via CultureLAB at Artshouse, Melbourne additionally funded by Australia Council for the Arts, with second stage development in 2019, additional funding in 2020 via City of Melbourne to incorporate feedback from Boon Wurrung Council and development towards a future video presentation.
